A deep nostalgia for people, places, and emotions is the force that drives my love for documentation. I love shooting film because it slows me down and keeps me present, becoming part of the moment I wish to preserve.

I grew up with a mother as a photographer, so from the first day I can remember I was either behind the lens or curious to get my hands on one. She got me my first disposable at age 7. I didn’t understand the impermanence then, but the impulse was alive,

I find it beautiful to romanticize the nothing special moments some might pass by if they weren’t paying attention. The moments in between, the barren landscapes, the raw America, the overseas adventure and the beauty in it all.

If the moments I capture and the stories I tell are able to resonate with even just one person, then I feel I’ve done alright by this life. xx
